When you’re ready for something to change

Welcome, and thank you for finding us. You’ve probably tried some things already. Maybe they helped a little. Maybe they didn’t, or not for long, or not in the way you needed. You’re not here for a quick fix or a silver bullet. You’re here because something in you is ready for a change — and you want to do this somewhere that treats you with care and respect.
Vital Reset is in Hood River, Oregon, an hour east of Portland, tucked into the Columbia River Gorge — the river on one side, mountains on the other and forest in-between. We’re a licensed psilocybin service center, warmly lit and quiet, with rooms named for the landscape outside them: the River, the Mountain, the Forest. Everything here is legal, medically screened, unhurried. Here, you’ll work with one caring facilitator from your first meeting through the weeks after your session. Steady. Inclusive. Experienced. We are so glad you’re here.
Psilocybin is a compound found in certain mushrooms. Taken at the right dose, with a licensed facilitator beside you, it softens the usual patterns of thought long enough that you can see your life from a different perspective. Research shows it can promote neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to form new connections.
It’s a single, supported session — one long day, here at the center, with thorough preparation before and thoughtful integration after. It’s often the day people point back to, when they talk about what actually shifted.
Most people who come here have already tried a lot. Years of therapy, sometimes. More than one medication. The books, the apps, the sheer effort of trying to think your way out. If that’s you, you’re among people who understand. You don’t have to arrive broken, and you don’t have to arrive hopeful (but it’s okay to have hope!) You just have to be ready to do the work.
Many who sit with us are experiencing psilocybin for the first time. No previous experience is necessary — whether it’s your first time or your hundredth, whether you’re here to work through something or simply to explore your own mind, your facilitator prepares you and stays with you the whole way through. You’re never dropped into something you don’t understand.
Depression. Anxiety. The long shadow of trauma. Grief that hasn’t moved. A dependence you haven’t been able to break on your own. We won’t tell you what a session will accomplish — no one honest can. What we’ll tell you is how you’ll be treated while you’re here: screened with care, supported closely and never rushed.
It begins with a simple conversation with Jim, our co-owner, and he’ll be your point of contact all the way through. He’ll walk you through the basics — what psilocybin treatment involves, your eligibility, how to prepare, and which facilitator is the right match for you. He is here to listen, and to make sure you know exactly what’s ahead.
When Oregon became the first place in the country to license psilocybin care, Vital Reset was the 4th to open its doors, in 2023. More than 430 people have sat with us in the years since — and Vital Reset has been part of it from the start.

It’s a short form. From there, Jim will call — no rush, no cost, no pitch. The conversation lasts as long as you need it to.
Start the ConversationFrom there: two preparation meetings, then the session itself — several hours in a quiet room, your facilitator with you the whole time. And then the weeks after, when you make sense of what came up. That’s where the work actually settles.
